Custom banner questions

What material are your custom banners printed on?
Indoor banners are printed on 13oz scrim vinyl, outdoor banners on 15oz, and the heavy duty weatherproof option on 18oz. All three are solvent printed for UV resistance. Outdoor and heavy duty banners come hemmed on all four sides with grommets around the perimeter; indoor banners are grommeted and ready to hang the day they arrive.
How long do vinyl banners last outside?
A 15oz outdoor banner typically lasts two to three years in Michigan weather, and the 18oz heavy duty option longer than that. Lifespan depends mostly on wind exposure - a banner stretched tight on a fence outlasts one flapping loose, so use every grommet and add zip ties along the top edge in an exposed spot.
What size banner should I order?
For a fence or building wall, 3ft x 5ft is the most common and reads clearly from across a field. For a road frontage or a gym wall, 4ft x 8ft or 10ft x 4ft gives you room for a logo and a phone number. Eleven sizes are available above, from small 2ft x 1ft up to large format.
How fast can I get a custom banner?
Most banners are printed and finished within two to four business days. We print large format in house in Michigan rather than sending it out, so if you have a game, an opening or an event date, tell us at checkout and we will tell you honestly whether we can hit it.
What size should I make my banner artwork?
Set your canvas to the exact banner size you are ordering. If you want a 3ft x 5ft banner, design at 3ft x 5ft - or at 36 x 60 inches, which is the same thing. Designing at the finished size means nothing gets stretched, squashed or cropped when we print it. In Canva, choose Custom size, switch the units to inches, and enter your banner dimensions before you start. Then upload the PDF, PNG or JPG on the designer above. Large banners need large files, so export at the highest quality your tool offers - if your artwork is too low resolution to print sharply we will tell you before printing rather than after.
