Table card questions
What is the difference between table numbers and place cards?
Table numbers are 5 x 7 inches and stand on the table so guests can find where they are sitting. Place cards are 3.5 x 2 inches and mark an individual seat with a name. Most weddings use both - numbers to find the table, place cards to find the chair.
How many table cards do I need?
One table number per table, and one place card per guest. For a 100 guest wedding on 10 tables that is 10 table numbers and 100 place cards. Order a few spares of each - names get misspelled and seating changes in the last week.
Can each place card have a different name?
Yes. Send us the guest list at checkout and every card is printed with its own name at no extra charge. That is far quicker than hand writing a hundred of them, and it matches the rest of your stationery.
What are table cards printed on?
Heavy card stock, printed full colour and trimmed clean, so they stand up on a table without curling. They are supplied flat - if you want them scored for folding into a tent shape, say so at checkout.
How far in advance should I order?
Two to three weeks before the wedding. Later than most stationery, because seating tends to change until the last minute - but not so late that a delivery delay leaves you writing names by hand the night before.
